Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Android tablet

Apple has blocked it from going on sale in Australia, and Samsung postponed the launch event, but we did some probing and were lucky enough to get our...

Superb thin and light design ; TouchWIZ UX adds handy features ; Built-in 3G on selected models

No microSD card slot ; No HDMI-out connection ; Proprietary dock connection

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is without a doubt the best Android tablet on the market. It's thinner and lighter than Apple's iPad 2, despite having a larger screen, and offers most of the functions and features of its competitors. The lack of external...

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1v Android tablet

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1v review: The Galaxy Tab 10.1v is a credible alternative to the iPad 2, but it lacks the polished feel of Apple's tablet.

Honeycomb Android 3.0 software ; Excellent cameras ; Slick Web browser

No memory card slot ; No HDMI ; Android 3.0 Honeycomb still a work in progress

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1v and its Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system offer a credible alternative to the iPad 2, but one that falls behind Apple when it comes to general usability and slickness. The Galaxy Tab 10.1v is a nice albeit...

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 (3G, 16GB)

The Galaxy Tab 10.1 is a great-looking tablet computer, but Samsung makes little attempt to differentiate its Android tablet from the rest of the pack.

Slim, sleek design ; Great LCD display

No HDMI out ; No expandable memory ; No standard USB connection ; Adapters are expensive

Like the pretty faces draping the covers of gossip magazines, the Galaxy Tab looks better than its peers, but is decidedly average below the surface. Users of the 10.1 will enjoy good web browsing, gaming and media playback, but the same can be said...

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1: Review

There's nothing like a little controversy to drive up demand for a new gadget. The Galaxy Tab 10.1 is the famous tablet Apple didn't want us to get our hands on, and yet despite its best efforts in the courtroom, Samsung was successful at getting the...

REVIEW—SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB 10.1]

This is the pad that Apple didn't want us to see. It uses the Android 3.1 OS and comes in 16 and 64GB memory versions with or without 3G. The basic model weighs 565 grams and is 8.6mm thick. The obvious difference from the iPad is screen aspect ratio....

The Android operating system is simply better than iOS. Connect the Galaxy to a PC and it shows up as an accessible external drive. The feeling of freedom, after using an iPad connected to iTunes, is exhilarating. The display is excellent

The 10.1” diagonal screen sounds like more, but in fact it is less, at least for photographers. The shorter, wider iPad screen is better suited to displaying photos

When you strike at a king you must strike to kill him” a wise man said. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is a strong blow from the Android camp, but is it a deadly one? The Samsung Galaxy SII rules in smart phones, but the iPhone is still the one that is...

The Galaxy Tab 10.1 is an extremely desirable device limited by a lack of computing features common in other Android tablets. The Galaxy Tab is the thinnest and lightest, but you'll pay a premium for this design, and you'll go without expandable...

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1

Samsung's infamous Galaxy Tab 10.1 will finally be hitting shop shelves just in time for Christmas. But after months of sitting on the sideline, does it still have enough performance to knock Apple's iPad off the top-spot?

Excellent screen; Superior build; Great audio; Strong application support

Gallery and music player could be more webcentric; Would be more enthusiastic if it had more RAM; No word on Ice Cream Sandwich Update so far

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Android tablet

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 review: Is the Galaxy Tab 10.1 the new king of Android tablets?

Superb thin and light design ; TouchWIZ UX adds handy features ; Built-in 3G on selected models

No microSD card slot ; No HDMI-out connection ; Proprietary dock connection

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 has a 10.1in, capacitive, PLS TFT touchscreen display (yes, that's a mouthful). Samsung says that the inclusion of PLS (Plane-line-switching) technology gives the Galaxy Tab 10.1 better viewing angles and increased...

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1v

We've loved using the Galaxy Tab 10.1v; it's lightweight and extremely responsive, but it's hard to overlook the features it is missing.

Lightweight for a 10-inch tablet ; Android Honeycomb is a joy to use ; Outstanding performance even for 3D games ; Solid battery life

No HDMI or DLNA for media sharing ; No microSD card slot ; Not many Android apps are designed for tablets yet

With Google's Honeycomb in place, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1v is an outstanding device for personal media and web consumption. There isn't much Samsung can do about the sub-par app support for Android tablet so far (but this is bound to improve),...
