Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 with AnyPen review: Stylus-friendly Windows tablet with a tiny screen

The Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 with AnyPen marries an impressive build and innovative tech with unremarkable performance and a tiny screen.

The Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 features AnyPen technology that allows you to use any metal object as a stylus. Its rounded spine makes it easy to hold, and the kickstand is a welcome addition. Battery life is stellar.

The small screen isn't ideal for a desktop-like PC experience, and it lacks a keyboard accessory. There are miniscule port options.

If you can live with the fact that its screen is too small for the full Windows 8 experience, the Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2's comfy build and cutting-edge stylus technology are compelling enough reasons to own it.

Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 is commendable for its design, but not much else

A built-in kickstand makes this Lenovo tablet usefully unique.

The Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 has a useful design with a built-in kickstand and long battery life. The front-facing speakers are loud, and the Dolby app punches up the audio quality.

The heavily modified Android overlay lacks an app tray and customization features. Some text looks pixelated, and the touchscreen sometimes fails to recognize taps. Apps occasionally crash.

The Yoga Tablet 2's unique design can't overshadow its tragically stripped-down UI and irregular performance issues.

Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 review: A good tablet, undone by a cumbersome keyboard

This Windows-based tablet sports the same quirky hinged design as its smaller siblings, but the larger size makes things complicated.

The Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 offers a useful kickstand, great battery life and attractive high-resolution display.

Weak magnets and an awkward edge design make the connection between tablet and keyboard dock a tenuous one. The tablet is heavier than most of its competitors.

The Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2's 13-inch high-resolution screen delivers a great viewing experience, but its cumbersome keyboard keeps it from greatness.

Review: Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2

A t the $399 asking price you might think that the Android version of the Yoga Tablet 2 was all going to be a bit cheap and cheerful. The metallic bulgy design and fold-out hinge belie that thought however, and while that's a design carried over from...

Far from the best, but great for a lower priced tablet.

Review: Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 (1050F)

The tablet market is a very crowded one, but Lenovo hopes to differentiate itself from the competition with a neat and useful design, durable materials, and a great screen. Could this be your next tablet?

Fold-out stand is one of the best inclusions in a tablet; Stand includes a window hole for hanging the tablet up; Excellent battery; Fantastic screen; Storage can be expanded with microSD;

Lenovo’s Android overlay can be a little confusing; No 802.11ac; No NFC; Form-factor can be a little awkward in the hands; Heavy;

Lenovo Yoga Tab 2 10.1 review

The Lenovo Yoga Tab 2 is very close to being one of the great tablets of 2014. Unfortunately, a few simple issues bring it down a peg or two.

As it is it’s still a good option, just don’t go thinkingyou’ll be watching too much video on it and definitely remember to downloadthat Google launcher if you want to keep your home screens free of clutter.
