Canon PIXMA MP610

A fantastic multifunction

Cheap consumables, great scanning quality, decent printing quality

No Ethernet, print quality not as good as the MP970

With a load of features, cheap consumables and an intuitive menu system, the PIXMA MP610 is possibly the best value multifunction on the market. Its print quality may have some flaws when compared to its bigger brother, the MP970, but its scanning...

Canon Pixma MP610

The Canon Pixma MP610 is a minor upgrade of the MP600, offering nothing less and not much more but if you don't already have a multifunction printer it may be worth a look.

To justify the new model name, the MP610 also stepped up in terms of pretty features. There's a picture auto fix and a quick start option. Not a major incentive to upgrade if you already have the MP600, but for everyone else, it's worth a second look.

Continually replacing the ink cartridges. I am a light user but is still costing me about $300/year. Give this printer a very wide berth. I wish I had never laid eyes on it.

Excellent print results

Ink is ridiculously expensive

Large footprint but excellent all-in-one for the price - but now just a large paperweight. DO NOT BUY THIS PRINTER.

Print and Scan quality good ; Large capacity separate black ink tank makes printing relatively cheap

Failed with all-too-common U150 error (search the web and get ready for the hits) 60 days out of warranty period ; With above error nothing works - not even scanning

Great price.I paid $195 but have seen it as low as $185.No USB cable, but since it was replacing me scanner and printer, I had 2 spare cables that fit.Quickstart manual wasn't great to understand but good enough to get by,-full manual on CD is very...

Pretty much everything ; cd/dvd printing great ; 2 media trays ; cheap ; great quality prints

Cant find any yet.If I have to find a "con", maybe the overall physical size.I had to modify my pc desk to hold it safely, but I have a small, cheap desk.Overall, not much of a con for what you get

I do not think your manual is easy to follow. The info is designed by people who are setting up printers all the time, not for one -offs like me. e.g. how many tapes are there to be removed BEFORE you start the machine...
