Canon Pixma iP4500

Very fast, automatic duplexing, two input trays

Buttons can be hard to figure out

The Canon Pixma iP4500 offers excellent speed, sharp print quality, and useful features for a good price. If your colour output tends more toward photos and graphics than charts and memos, it could be a good alternative to an entry-level colour laser.

Canon Pixma iP4500

The Canon Pixma iP4500 is a bit too expensive for basic home users, but those who do a bit more printing than the occasional e-mail and map will be happy with its speed and quality.

Good overall print quality ; Two paper sources ; PictBridge port ; Built-in auto duplexer

No preview LCD ; No memory card slots

Canon offers a standard one-year warranty for the Pixma iP4500. E-mail support is available 24-7 via a Web-based form. Canon's standard online support options include downloadable drivers and software, manuals, and FAQs.

Canon Pixma iP4500

Excellent printer & good value for money. The printer is worth the money in my opinion.

Print quality, price to run, you can refill the ink tanks, 2 paper bins & no annoying CD or 6*4 printing trays needed

A little dearer than other similar printers

Canon Pixma iP4500

with $110 to $150 of ink in the box it is a very inexpensive printer add in separate ink cartridges and you have low ongoing costs as well.

Individual inktanks ; low cost of unit when comparing what comes in the box ; High quality prints that are great for photos or printing on CD's

Not a MFC so no scanner ; costs a little more($30 to $70) for printer compared to cheaper $15 plus ink printers

Non-stop excellence

Bought in 2008 for about $160 AUD, this printer has just died on me after regular but fairly light use in that time. The total cost of ownership for me (TCO) has been about $400 over the past 5 years or so and that is IMHO money well spent. This may be...

Extremely versatile, very high quality, not too expensive
