Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

The same great action of the previous games. Lots of multiplayer options.

Not much changed since Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Single-player campaign is confusing for people who haven't played the other Modern Warfare games.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 continues the story and tradition of the other Modern Warfare games, almost to a fault.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

[ Update: We originally said that you couldn't swap Ally/Friend Codes as in Black Ops . Turns out you can, so that line has been corrected.] Since Internet winner Jim Sterling has already published Destructoid's official review of Modern Warfare 3 ,...

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Content Collection #1

+ The two new Spec Ops missions are excellent., + Most of the four new maps are pretty strong, especially “Black Box.”

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Hardened Edition (PS3) Review

Call of Duty: Hardened Edition is the perfect gift for the most hardcore of hardcore gamers and especially first-person shooters and Call of Duty fans. It comes with a ton of extra duties and some extra special online access. It does cost over $100,...

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Review

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 is like most film sequels, i.e. giving you much of the same. So if you liked the other two games you may like this, but personally I would rent the title first before you buy it. In fairness a lot of work has gone into the...

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 – PC Game Review

It continues on right where MW2 left off. Great solo campaign action. Solid and addictive multiplayer mayhem, with loads of new weapons/unlocks to be had. Spec Ops mode is loads of fun, to boot. It still manages to look really good, even if it’s only...

No Elite support for the PC version. No PC controller support at all. Usually the PC version is $10 cheaper than the $60 console counterparts, but not this one. MW3 on the PC costs the same as the console versions, with less options.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3

Superlative action, Silky smooth controls, Bountiful multiplayer and Special Ops extends its longevity

Pacing issues in campaign, Little connection to characters, *

Suffice to say, as an overall package, Modern Warfare 3 has plenty on offer and is extremely well polished, a game that quite literally blew us away in many respects. For its detractors who accuse it of being more of the same, we can only say more of...

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

Come for the multiplayer. Stay for the multiplayer.

Sound design for the guns has been vastly improved; Campaign another rollercoaster thrill ride; Newly added features and modes for online multiplayer add to an already good system. Addition of Call of Duty Elite increases community involvement.

Multiplayer not kind to casual players and beginners.

In closing, it’s fair to say that with so much expectation and anticipation placed on MW3, Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games have had an uphill struggle to make this the game that does it predecessors justice. It manages it, just about. It plays it...
