Dell U2417H

An excellent inexpensive monitor for everyday use, the UltraSharp 24 (U2417H) doesn't offer a lot of bells and whistles but it delivers everything you need in a general-purpose display.

Dell U2515H

I have ordered the monitor for work, since it has such nice resolution and is not oversized (my desk is 75cm deep). My goal was to run it at 125% scaling as required for my built-in laptop panel (fullHD 14 inch). Using Windows 7 hence same scaling...

The U3011 is massive and sublime. It's by no means cheap, but you're paying for the panel. For those who can justify it, it brings much needed improvements over the 3008WFP. For those who can't, go for the U2711 instead.

What's rather spectacular about the U2913WM, though, is the price — at AU$599, it's enough that people will be asking if they want a 27-inch with the extra 360 vertical pixels, or if 21:9 is in their future.
