Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon with touchscreen

The ThinkPad X1 Carbon remains one of the best Ultrabooks on the market, and the touchscreen option isn't bad either

Excellent keyboard ; Screen isn't overly reflective ; Feels solidy built and isn't too heavy

Touchpad a little too sensitive ; Screen angles aren't great ; Pro version of Windows 8 isn't standard

The addition of a touchscreen gives the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon more versatility when you're using Windows 8. It remains one of the best Ultrabooks on the market due to its overall build quality and an excellent keyboard.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon (type 3444-2NM) Ultrabook review

Those of you looking for a business-ready Ultrabook will love the ThinkPad X1 Carbon

Build quality ; Keyboard ; Large, smooth touchpad ; Fast SSD

Vertical viewing angles a little narrow ; RAM not upgradeable ; Non-standard SSD ; Pricey

Lenovo's ThinkPad X1 Carbon is aimed at business users who need an Ultrabook management features and better security than a standard model. It's well built, quite comfortable to use, and performs quite well. However, it's not a user-serviceable unit...

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Ultrabook (hands-on preview)

ThinkPad X1 Carbon: a business Ultrabook with a rugged design, professional management and security features

Very thin and light for a 14in Ultrabook ; Excellent keyboard

Only one port is USB 3.0 ; Ethernet is via a USB dongle

The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon is an Ultrabook with a robust, carbon fibre-based body that's designed for business users. It's 14 inches, but it's still very thin and light and it felt great to use in our brief hands-on session.

Lenovo's ThinkPad X1 Tablet tops the Surface’s keyboard game

This two-in-one comes with a comfy detachable keyboard and stylus, but it doesn't hold a candle to the Surface in performance and battery life.

The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 has a sharp screen and offers flexibility through optional modular accessories. Its excellent detachable keyboard is one of the best of its kind.

It has below-average battery life. It's expensive considering its performance.

The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 is a unique professional tablet with modular accessories, though you can find a similar two-in-one hybrid with better battery life for less money.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon (2017) review: A modern classic for the battery-bleeding business traveler

At less than 2.5 pounds and a terrific almost-12 hours of battery life, the fifth-generation ThinkPad X1 Carbon makes a great travel companion.

Class-leading battery life, good performance and its light weight are among the ThinkPad X1 Carbon's main virtues.

It's expensive, and there's no touchscreen option.

This isn't the most feature-packed or stylish system. But it does have the classic look and the performance, battery life and light weight a traveler needs from a traditional laptop.
