Sony a7S III Review

12MP full-frame sensor ; 4K recording at 10-bit quality ; 120fps slow motion at 4K ; Face and eye detection autofocus ; Subject tracking at 10fps ; High sensitivity for low light ; 5-axis IBIS ; Dust and splash protection

CFExpress cards required for best quality slow-motion video ; Video autofocus doesn't work SLR lens adapters

The Sony a7S III has one of the best 4K video feature sets you'll find in a full-frame mirrorless camera, including 120fps capture for slow-motion playback.

Sony Alpha A7S III review: The low-light video champ

Read why the third-gen A7S full-frame stills and video camera is so impressive. For consumer videographers it's almost unrivalled.

Great low-light performance ; Strong video capabilities ; Lots of flexibility offered by ports ; Proper flip-out screen ; Impressive autofocus and tracking ; Great image quality

It's expensive ; Quite heavy with a decent lens ; Menu button remains unusually placed ; 12MP resolution may limit some photographers

This may just be Sony's most impressive video-centric camera to date (well, ignoring the ultra-pricey Alpha A1). By using the right sensor, processing power and heat dissipation, Sony offers full-frame recording at staggering resolutions and quality,...

Sony A7S III review: The mirrorless magic

Priced at Rs 3,34,990 for the body only, Sony A7S III features a new image processing engine, a touchscreen display, and brings few other changes to button placement.

Lowlight capabilities ; Compact form factor ; Flip touchscreen

Expensive

There are many mirrorless cameras in the market that has something or the other to like about them. The Sony A7S III is different. You can’t find many faults in this one. It is one of the best mirrorless cameras out there thanks to its flip-out screen,...

Review: Sony A7s III | Extremely Good Video Camera Sony a7s III

Sony a7s III is more of a camcorder than a still camera, and therefore not suitable for all photographers.

Extreme quality 4K video, free of rolling shutter and very low image noise at high ISO. Fast and precise autofocus on both stills and video. Fantastic looking.

Only 4K video. 1.1x cropping in the highest quality, only 12 Mp stills, and Sony's cameras continue to have some ergonomic challenges. High price.

Sony A7S III review

Designed especially for filmmakers, the new Sony A7S III is fantastic for filming but a capable stills machine too

Amazing real world video specs ; Incredible low light performance ; Stunning AF, even for video

No 6K or 8K video ; Still images only 12MP ; No waveform monitoring

It’s taken Sony five years to upgrade the video-centric A7S II to a Mark III, but the wait has been worth it for keen enthusiast and professional moviemakers. It might not boast 6K or 8K video resolution of some of its rivals, and with only 12.1MP it’s...
