Fujifilm X-T1 compact system camera

An interchangeable lens camera with manual dials and switches that can give you total control over your photography

Large and clear EVF ; Tactile control ; Excellent picture quality ; Weatherproof body

Price is high ; Wi-Fi function isn't great

The Fujifilm X-T1 stands out in a sea of compact system cameras, mainly due to its tactile exposure controls and excellent electronic viewfinder. It's expensive, but nevertheless an interesting proposition if you're after a small, high-performance...

Fujifilm X-T1

The new Fujifilm X-T1 lands in Australia to shake up the mirrorless camera pack, complete with a weather-resistant body and bright viewfinder.

The X-T1 will arrive in Australia in March, and pricing will run around the AU$1799 mark for the body only. The new XF 56mm and 10-24mm will be AU$1299 each.

Labs Brief: Fujifilm XT1

The Fuji X-T1 is a mirrorless powerhouse that combines retro styling with professional features. Control dials across top of its body provide direct access to all the key photographic settings, such ISO, shutter speed and exposure compensation. The...

[REVIEW–FUJIFILM X-T1]

This 16mp APS-C sensor camera has a weather-resistant body. Main controls for aperture, shutter speed and ISO sensitivity are analogue, a useful retro feature for those who grew up with film. The electronic viewfinder is very large and of exceptional...

The low light, high ISO performance of the X-T1 makes us rethink our timid approach to cranking up the ISO. We used the camera in tricky, dim light on fast moving subjects with ISO set to 6400 and now reckon that 6400 is the new 800. DISLIKE: Handling...

Handling is a little slow compared with the competition. The Olympus OMD E-M1 and the Sony a7 are snappier in the hand. VERDICT: The Fujifilm X-T1 with its compact size and stellar performance makes conventional DSLRs seem old fashioned. Who needs all...

The Fujifilm X-T1 with its compact size and stellar performance makes conventional DSLRs seem old fashioned. Who needs all that extra bulk when it doesn’t translate into better image quality? The X-T1 has the same size sensor as consumer DSLRs so...

Fujifilm X-T1

The latest Fujifilm CSC provides traditional dial controls on a weather-resistant metal body with a tilting, high-resolution monitor and high-resolution OLED viewfinder.

The X-T1 is a small departure from the original rangefinder style of Fujfilm's X-series cameras. It looks and handles like a DSLR, with a large viewfinder positioned on the camera's optical axis. But the mechanical dial controls are retained.

Fujifilm XT-1

Great design and button layout, although I wish the dials didn't have the lock button in the centre. Image quality is great (I use the 18-55mm f2.8). The high ISO is a little noisy but still good. Super light-weight for the number of features.

Excellent mirrorless camera

Last year I purchased a Fujifilm X-T1 mirrorless camera to use while travelling around. I've only ever used my DSLR while travelling, and being a full frame camera accompanied by a large piece of glass on the front (the lens), it often became very...

Fuji stand behind their product with excellent service
