JVC Everio GZ-MG330

If you're not interested in being able to record HD footage, you'll find this standard definition camcorder a good bet.

Good quality footage ; 35x optical zoom ; Easy to use

Standard-definition recording only ; Low-res stills

Conclusion JVC has really hit a sweet spot with the petite and handsome Everio GZ-MG330. It shoots great quality standard-definition footage, has a long optical zoom range and is very easy to use.

Huge storage for the money, but quality can't match the more expensive models in this group

The camera also has a powerful 35x optical zoom, but unfortunately the electronic image stabilisation leaves much to be desired, so images can quickly become unwatchable unless you're using a tripod at longer focal lengths

Like this camera a lot. I'm making my first amateur film with this camcorder.

DVD quality (not such a good shooting ONLY by night) ; small, easy to use

not so good, when filming by night ; autofocus isn't so good

JVC Everio GZ-MG330

Purchased Christmas 2008. Great size, easy to setup and use. Video quality good, but at 8.xmbps (highest setting) not as good as I would have expected for SD format. Agree with other comments that still images are poor (specs show it is equivalent...

Great size; Quick start; software is pretty good, especially for video/still camera to PC backup (one button touch); variable speed zoom. Has remote control (handy if tripod mounted)

Still quality poor at lesss than 1MP (640X480 pre-set ) The docking station does not come with this model; Video quality quite good, but not excellent

This is my first camcorder and I am very happy with it. It is very handy and slick to use and I

It is small enough to fit in a little handbag ; It turns on really fast ; The computer program that it came with is really good, and quite easy to learn but to do some of the things on it you have to buy a program ; Is easy to use ; The still mode is...

When taking a photo or filming at night or in artificial light, the quality is really poor. This is probobly the only real fallback I've noticed with this camcorder. At night or in artificial light, it is really hard to get an unblurred still and you...

Choosing the gz-mg330 was the best decision I ever made. It was either this or a comparative sony model. I first leaned towards the JVC because it was a much slimmer unit. But upon further investigation I realised there were many other appealing...

The event register is awesome!! JVC provide a full edition of editing software. Very easy to use and such a nice looking camera..

The laser touch operation is a bit tricky to get the hang of.
